At the closing reception of Take Us There: Mapping Memories, we were invited to do a Show N’ Tell in front a crowd of gatherers. Originally, I had thought it was a good idea to Show and Tell about our friend Pacolli. After a few drinks and such, the idea of speaking in front of strangers scared me – so I decided to decline. However, after glancing down and seeing my name crossed out, I thought to myself “What a jerk!” hahaha.

Here’s a piece I did for Mapping Memories: Take Us There Group show at Echo Curio. They look they are trying to actually figure out what happened after a night of heavy drinking. Art imitating life? probably. HA.  I’ll have to photograph some of the other cardboard pieces I did in order to make my art even more affordable.

Patricia Coli, aka Pacolli from Brazil recently paid a visit to Los Angeles, CA in preparation for her group show with The Human Pyramids at Ghettogloss Gallery. If you aren’t familiar with her artwork, then I encourage you to check it out – colorful characters, sad crying bear faces, refrigerators, teddy bear ice cream cones, and more. Also she’s a part of Volcomics which is awesome. Check her stuff out.
